Four high school students have sued the Puyallup School District in Tacoma after their school paper printed a story detailing the students' sex lives. The story led to verbal harrassment for the students named.
One of the lawyers representing the students said: "This is a high-school journalism class that is supposed to be supervised, and the journalism instructor is letting the students do whatever they want with the paper."
One of the plaintiffs was quoted about having sex in the article, saying: "I was 15. I was horny. It really wasn't a relationship at that point. I'd known the guy for a week." Since the February story, they have been called "sluts" and "whores".
